I need a little help.

I have Hella 500's mounted on the front bumper and bought the factory light switch with foglight control from Evan. I have heard that the wiring for the lights are sometimes installed even when they are not optioned.

Can anyone tell me where to find the harness?

Thanks, 243

Look under the Radiator support,Drivers side. Thats where my plug is mounted. The Harness inside the cab should be just behind the airbag switch. thats where mine was also. I have a 98. 5. There is a long "y" harness I got from the dealer to run from the Rad support plug to the lights.

243, look in the Power Distribution Center box and see if all the terminals are in the fog light relay plug, if not then I don,t think you will have the wiring. I tried to get factory fog lights but forgot to tell the salesman, called him about a week later and it was too late. I added factory lights after I got the truck but they came with wiring, a relay and a new light switch.

I have 4 Hella 4000's (see my site).

in the power dist box there is a plug labeled "fog 1" and another labeled "fog 2"

Fog 1 is energized the same as your parking lights.

Fog 2 is energized the same as your high beams.

Hella has GREAT fused wiring relays

I connected my fogs to fog 1 and to a 2 way that I installed in the bottom of my dash trim. I connected my drivers to a 3 way and fog 1 and fog 2. I connected the (5 watt) euro lamp in the drivers directly to the parking lamp.

The switches are invisible - right next to the steering column under the speedo.

I found the connector at the bottom of the radiator core support. I checked the PDC and found one foglamp relay terminal with all the connectors in place and started looking for one of a half dozen spare relays listed on the cover of the PDC... not a single one installed... not even a spare 10cent fuse. The bean-counters must be cutting corners again #ad

I borrowed the horn relay and I have power to the connector below the core support so I'm all set.

Thanks guy's!
