I need some help finding a small part.

On the vehicle exterior, just under the windshield, is the air intake for the truck's heater and ventilation. There are four black plastic fasteners on the plastic air intake. The flanges are about 3/4" across and fasten with a #25 star (torx) driver. I need to get two replacements for these.

Does anyone here know the part number? I think Dodge refers to them as "plastic fastener" which is neither very imaginative nor particularly helpful.

Any ideas where I can purchase a few for a reasonable amount? I checked with a dealer in a nearby town and he didn't have any in stock but could order them for $6. 50 each!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check out www.clipsandfasteners.com. I believe the part # for the top piece is 18249 and the bottom stud is 21023. I don't remember the price, but, it wasn't bad, and quick shipping. You get 25 of each per box. They also have the door panel clips and a bunch of other small parts.

Thanks! That's what I needed was the"Top Stud Cover" #18249. And I get 25 of them delivered for less than the cost of three from the dealer (not to mention $10 worth of fuel to drive there) so I can have spares for next time some get lost or damaged.

I've saved the website and will likely be back there again in the future.

Again, I appreciate the help.

Thanks X2! I could not remember where I got my door panel clips and I need the same "Top Stud Cover" that Troubleshooter was looking for... ... Thanks again to both of you guys..... One for the question and of course the other for the answer :)

Wow I didn't know tthere were so many fastners. and i just force a screw in. This is a GOOD bookmark. Now I'll be able to fasten the door panels back on without duct tape. Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!
