Hey Guys,

Just finished the install on a set of gauges (Isspro EGT, Boost, Trans Temp) from Diesel Manor. . Evrything appeared to go well during the install, and I would consider myself to be reasonably experienced mechanically. When I reconnected the Batteries and fired up the truck I'm getting the "Check Gauges" light and the EGT is not functioning. I do not believe the two things are related, all power and dimming for the EGT and the other gauges are common, so I fell confident I have a connection issue somewhere to be discovered. My primary concern is the Check gauges light. . Any ideas what that may be?

Well I'm feeling a little better. . I got concerned that somehow I might have created a short, but I asm not heating any wires anywhere on the install and both batteries remain nice and cool. . I thought I might have kicked a code for some reason so I went out to check but there are no codes. . What I did notice was after starting the truck a few times the check guages light has gone off. . Now i just have some work to do in fixing the EGT. .

As you said... check all your connections. I ran into a similar problem when I put mine in, minus the check engine light. What I found was the #@$%! t-taps that came with the gauges for spicing into the wire harness. Thought I would have learned my lesson on the last truck  Thats where my problem was, it did not pierce the insulation enough. Did you mount them on the dash or pillar. I know I wrestled with putting my dash pod in place, maybe your problem is in there

Well it wasnt one of the t-taps but it was a connection... . All fixed now. . Had a wire loose in the weatherproof connector for the Probe. .

How hard was it to intall the dash pod. Did the dash panel come of easily?

Any tips, tricks or otherwise.

I purchased all the gauges and the dash pod a few months back. Just haven't had time to install yet. Probably over Christmas/New Years time off.

The check engine light could have been from disconnecting the batteries. I've thrown a code (I don't remember the #) everytime I disconnect the batteries. I don't remember if it actually made the light go off or not. Have you done the key cycle gig to see what code you triggered?

The Dash Pod was not that difficult to install once you get the dash apart, which kind of a pain. . I really like the install, it looks clean and the location couldnt be better. .

As for the check guages light, there was no code. . The light was on but the key cycle trick would not display a code, and the light just went away after a few starts. .
