When i did my transmission swap from auto to 6 speed I lost my CC. The speed sensor was located on the auto and since it is GONE, no speed sensor! Where is the speed sensor located on stick trucks? Rearend? Is there anyway I can get this back? If the speed sensor is located in the rearend on stick trucks (D80) and my truck has a D70 maybe this is not possible? Anyone who might know the location or have a pic of the speed sensor on a stick truck, please let me know.

I think you have programming issues not input issues, you are probably missing inputs from the auto trans regarding gear or other info, not speed info. If you have a working speedometer the correct speed signal is getting to the PCM. The cruse control on an auto truck is vacuum operated, the cruse on an 01 6 speed is electronic only, did you change the PCM (behind the air filter) and ECM (on the engine) to a six speed model? I think the speed inputs to the PCM are the same on an auto or manual trans, the front sensors are inside the brake rotors, the rear is on the ring gear, the same sensors run the anti lock brakes and should be the same on all trucks. The catcher guys found out that without the correct ECM program the cruse wont work.

Maybe Marco could reflash you to a 6 speed program in the ECM?

Yeah, that's a good idea! I never changed my ECM/PCM maybe Marco could reflash it with a Catcher upgrade. :D

I figured that the plug I took off the auto would plug in somewhere else or I could cut the plug and wire it where it should go.

BTW, I had NO vacuum running to or from my auto just a plug for the speed sensor. I think this has been discussed before, some seem to have it, some don't!

All the auto trucks have vacuum cruse, there are no vacuum lines to or from the auto trans, the vacuum actuator is under the driver side battery and actuates the APPS with a cable, the manual actuation of the throttle on the auto trucks is necessary to adjust the govener and the line pressure in the auto trans. The vacuum actuator is controlled by the PCM, on the later manual trans trucks it is all electronic between the PCM and ECM. The wiring harness may be different?

PCM's usually go under $100. 00 on ebay, make sure you get the right one.
