I have a 2014 Ram 2500 and like many I changed the tires when the truck was relatively new. The TPMS light has been on ever since and of course the dealer (Rainer Dodge) says there is nothing they can/will do. I have recently seen some software that will will allow me to change the pressure settings but I need the security PIN to make it safe but the dealer (same) will not provide it. Does anyone know of any dealers in the Olympia, Tacoma, etc. area that will give out the pin upon proof of ownership? Thanks in advance.

Funny you should ask because I just ordered one as a part of my effort to overcome this issue along with correcting the speedo. This is awesome and something I will definitely look into.

Awesome info and why I came here. I have ordered an Android tablet and dongle so that I can download Alfa OBD and correct my speedo and turn off the TPMS light.

is alfaobd easy to use? im trying to dload the help pages but my phones blocking it so i have to figure out how to allow it in settings or something

I must be missing something. Where is the auto updates selection located at?

Standard on any Android device, it can be switched off.
It's not a setting of the App, it a setting of the Device.

And doesn't apply to the Windows App.

Did you switch off some stuff on your phone?
Denied App rights, let's say access to the storage for this particular App?

And yes it is easy to use - for everyone that is used to use a computer in his daily life.

Who did you talk to at Rainier Dodge? Did you try Aaron? He's the service manager. Gary, their diesel mechanic is the best around here. Probably a policy decision due to legal or business ramifications. But with the PIN Puller app you shouldn't have to sweat getting it. My youngest son may have it too. He's always tinkering with his and his wife's Mopar products.

I talked to a female (can't remember her name) but she did reach out to the service manager as well as the parts manager both of which said that they would/could not give it out. I bought the truck new at Larson Dodge but take it to Rainer for recalls. I don't think Id buy a vehicle from them but their service side seems decent.

I should be getting the tablet today and I will download AlphaOBD and see if I can get this sorted out.

Dealer Parts department is supposed to give it to you with proof of ownership. With that said there are dealers that refuse to give it out because they want to force you do use their service department. Try the dealer you bought if from. Or just use AlfaOBD.

Best of luck. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Yeah I have read that all over the internet but suspected that I would run into resistance. The service lady I talked to was nice but very adamant that they could not give the code out or FCA would "fine" them (which I have read elsewhere as a standard dealer response). I am not sure what the real story is and why some will provide and others not but there is definitely a story there. This is why I started this thread as I thought there might be some local (ish) members who knew of a dealer that would provide it.

I am going the AlhpaOBD route first and we will see how that works out. Its not the end of the world either way to be honest, I have had the truck since new and have lived with both the speedo and the TPMS light issue, but I would like to get both corrected. Earlier this year the Uconnect Nav went out and I was at the same dealer (Rainier) and they told me it would be $880 to replace the entire head unit, but the service guy did tell me that he thought that there were better units out there. I ended up just getting a Garmin and now I use that which I like better than the Uconnect except for the exposed cord which I could fix if I really wanted to.
