Stanadyne fuel manager

help needed, powerpuck or EZ

Yesterday a guy flagged me down thinking I was someone else, I stopped and he was asking about what I had done to my truck. He said he bought his truck used and didn't know what his box was or how to adjust it.

The box in question has a light and a toggle switch on the front of it. It's about the same size as my comp, maybe even a little smaller. It tapped the pump wire and I think it plugged in to the map sensor, I didn't look close enough to see if that was maybe a separate boost fooler.

Anyone have an idea what box this is and also how to work it?

Thanks

Matt

Might be like my 4 wire Blue chip box. I painted mine to match the interior but it was light blue when I bought it. The 2 switches on the top is what I added to make the adjustment which was chip jumpers, to make different power amounts.

Heres a pic of mine

That might be it, take the yellow and green switches off, paint it black and it looks pretty darn close.

How do you adjust it? The guy said that when he bought the truck it ran great and then his brother messed with the switch and it hasn't ran the same since.

No lights other than the one by the switch.

Thanks

Matt

The green and yellow witch is the replacement for the chip jumpers. The combination of the jumpers (inside the box) make the power different. I soldered smal wires to switches so now with the combination of the switches, makes the power different. Can do this on the fly.

You might look at the Dyno Sources website, they sell a box called the Power Button. I recently took mine off. I've got a couple sitting on the table in my garage as well. I think they are probably a re-badged box (maybe a BlueChip), but they don't hook into the MAP sensor. The Power Button is a fueling box only and without the MAP hookup, it smokes like mad. I had no problems with either of mine and they can be purchased used for cheap because few people have heard of them. The box is black and the LED on the front is red. The only wires are two that go to the fuel pump (like the BlueChip) and one that hooks to the #9 fuse.

Thanks guys,

I think it's probably the JVD torque enhancer. We'll see if the guy calls me to see what I've found out.

Thanks again

Matt
