Hey how is that truck of yours driving. Does it waunder going down the road. My new 2000 drives like crap. Its currently in the shop and has been for 3 days.
By the way, the dealer did install my fender fares on my 2000 4x4 2500 and only charged me $40. 00, which is the flat rate in the book. and a friend of mine says they were a snap to install on his truck. I hope that helps. I know they look real good!

Dave, I put Bushwacker Street Flares on my truck. I did not really care for the quality, fit or finish.

They come in 3 pieces. You need to glue them together, clamp them and let them sit overnight.

Mine required trimming and massaging to get a nice clean tight fit.

You are going to have to either cut back your bodyside moulding or notch out the flare to fit it against the truck. Neither is easy. Very easy to scratch the paint if you go cut back the moulding.

They supplied rivets with the kit. I choose to use stainless steel sheet metal screws.

Dave, If you are dead set in using these, e-mail me or post here and I will offer some tips.

I would suggest leaving them in the box and looking at other flare manufactures. XENON looks like they make a nice set. Or see what the Dodge dealer has.

I took me about 8 hours to to the whole job, and I was screamin most of the time #ad

Dave, I put bushwacker flares on my '97. They are the one piece flares and fit nicely. Iused the supplyed pop rivits. I beleve you dont have to trim the side moulding on the '98-00. I left them black, a nice contrast to the blue (even my wife likes them). Hope this helps

Dave,

I also have a set of Bushwacker Street flares on my 98. They fit great and only took about an hour to install. They are the one piece design and I used the supplied pop rivets. The only suggestion I have is to make sure they are pressed good and tight against the body before you fasten them in place. This helps prevent junk from getting in behind them. By the way, my truck steers great.

Good Luck

DAVE, How did your installation go?

It looks like Bushwacker might have revised them since I installed them #ad

I installed Warn flares on the front of my 1 ton flatbed (99) they are 1 piece and fit great. They are also a little thicker than the bushwhacker. they attach with screws and have 3m 2 sided tape to keep them from rubbing paint off and keep dirt and water from getting behind them.
