Need help on hotrod insurance

I have been pondering the idea of putting my 90 Mustang GT on the road and have been looking in to some speciality insurance companies. Seems alot of them have a 15 year old mininium. Does anyone know of a company that insures newer custom cars?

Check into a club for Mustangs. I had a friend who had a '90 Corvette. He joined the Corvette Owners of America club or something like that. They had a huge group insurance plan, he only paid $500 a year for full coverage on the car. He was a well ticketed driver too! Funny he always got pulled over in his Mazda 323, never the vette. The only stipulation was he was to only drive the vette 10 days or less a month, couldn't be a daily driver. They never really monitored that, but that was the deal.

I just got an appraisal on the vehicle from a recognized source and went to my usual agent. He was more than happy to insure it for more than the blue-book said. It just costs me way more.
