I am trying to decide on new injectors and turbo. I have SBC 13-1. 25 Con OFE clutch in front of a fully splined nv4500. I am having the head o-ringed. Now, I need injectors and turbo to make good towable power.

If you want cheap use 370 marine injectors, and an off the shelf s300 from your local turbo shop. If you want to step up a little you can use an EDM injector which will give a little better power and considerably less smoke, and a modified H2E. THe price difference should be about 500 dollars more for the pair than the first option.

10K pounds would be about the limit. I would say an average of around 8K pounds. 400RWH is what I am looking for. It is just finding the right combination to keep the EGTs down. I would rather not have 370's. I would rather spend the money and get it right.

O-ringing is somewhat expensive because it's labor intensive. Remove the head, cut a groove in it and use a different gasket and fire rings. If you keep the boost below 60psi, this shouldn't be necessary.

400hp isn't hard to accomplish, but there's a clean way and a dirty way to do it. The dirty way is obviously cheaper, and will yield more EGT. Camplate kit, relatively large injectors and a turbo (plus the standard stuff - gauges, AFE box, exhaust).

The clean way would to get some more power by going into the pump. That will cost more, plus means the truck is down while the pump is being upgraded, but then you can use smaller injectors and it will smoke less and make less EGT. Same turbo and other stuff needed. Power is power.

For the turbo, I bought the parts from HTT and turned mine into an HX-35/40 hybrid. It was relatively inexpensive, and it works well, even towing, with the 370's, but I will be looking for a more efficient injector sometime in the near future. I've been running this for 30000+ miles and haven't had any issues. I also have a valet switch, which eliminates the smoke, and leaves plenty of towing power.

For towable HP going with the OEM 215 injectors and a Phat Shaft 62, Super Phat Shaft 62 or HTB2 will work awsome... . Great spoolup and awsome cooling.

Anybody have comments on this set-up? Will OEM 215 injectors be enough to keep up with those turbos? What kind of HP?

There are many good options. Since you have the head off a cam would be a good addition also a good approach would be to talk to Schied or Piers to name a couple and get a recommendation based on the parts that they sell so you can put a package together instead of injectors from one place cam from another and turbo from a third. Just a thought. Have fun!

I wasn't planning on changing out the cam. I would like to be able to replace the turbo and injectors. Would the Phat Shaft 62 or HTB2 work with injectors like the DD2's? Would the EGT's stay down. Around here we don't have any mountains or steep grades. I don't need super fast spool up. Just steady even boost and power all the way up to around 3200rpm.

I have a friend that truck pulls his 01 and for the winter he put in his stock injectors, and left the HTT 66/14 on the truck. He runs his comp box on 2x3 and I couldn't beleive how well the truck drives. Not much lag or anything. I wouldn't be afraid of a 62/12 or 14 with the stock injectors, expecially if you slide your plate a little forward.

I had a PS62 12 on my 93 with stock injectors and fuel pump settings it dynoed a 170hp, if I could spool it any one can.
