Might consider looking at 07.5 or newer, you would be getting a better transmission with the 68RFE, instead of the 48RE

JKeith, you're going to have a hard time something here in Ca. I sold my 04.5 around July this year with plans to buy an 2014 but have been looking at used trucks also.

The 3rd gen trucks in Ca that are good shape are going to cost over blue book. CTD owners in Ca are really, REALLY proud. I was looking at another 07 (70k miles) with a 5.9 engine two days ago. I wanted it but I wasn't going to give him $39k when I can get a discounted 2014 for about $50k.

Use the Craiglist search temprest to search statewide or another online resource that I like is cars.com or autotrader.com.

Good luck with the searching. I have a feeling I'll end up buying new since the used prices on Dodge diesels are flat out stupid right now.

Hawes, Since you are looking what do you think I could get for my truck info should be in my signature the current mileage is 23K I change oil every year so oil only had around 2K miles on it

FWIW, in October of 2012 I bought a used 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 with 66,000 miles on it for $27,500. This was at a dealer in Elk Grove, CA. I had to put in new batteries and full brake job since it was all original, but other than that it's been a great truck.
