Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) need help to remove crankcase breather

I am trying to set the valves by removing the breather cover, my book does not say how to remov it. I have 130,ooo miles on it and it has not been touched thanks Jim

That's sure doing it the hard way - but the breather "can" where the vent hose attaches unscrews - most guys use a common oil filter strap wrench to get a grip on it.

Thanks, I got it off and the valves set. I didn't know which way to turn it for sure . Jim

Turn it clockwise as you look at the nut. If you try and go the other way you'll loosen the nut.

The alternator nut makes a good barring tool too and there is nothing to remove.
