Hello all
Finally got the #11 plate in, and I am not impressed. Seems to have more top end, but that is about it. 40-80 times about the same.
But hopefully I just need to get the AFC to go along with it.
I have the AFC housing forward, star wheel forward, medium spring, and rear screw barely touching diaphram. Havent touched adjustable elbow yet, and hits 28 psi on guage.
If I understand how the AFC works, diapragm gets signal from boost line, to compress spring, to move forward, to let the pump lever move forward to contact plate, to add fuel?
Rear screw on afc gives fueling a "starting point" by positioning the afc stop lug, or whatever it is, spring strengh/star wheel combo determines how much boost is needed before afc moves forward, allowing more fuel, and position of afc housing dtermines start of all the above?
So I need to turn the rear screw in a few turns and see how that helps, to allow a liitle more fuel (and smoke) right off the bottom, to build boost sooner? And then turn the screw on elbow OUT to open up the bleed hole, to fool the wastegate to opening later, allowing more boost?
Try these first and then maybe go to the light spring if this doeesnt help?
Thanks to any help!
Eric
