Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need help with box stacking

Had a buddy call me with a question on stacking a comp with the VA box (old one without boost fooling).

He has the VA now and was wondering if the comp would throw too much timing at it. Anyone out there tried it?

I tried it on the dyno and pick up 15 hp. and some heat.

I hear that the older va boxes have more timing built in than the newer ones. The additional timing might cause a problem with the already aggressive timing of the comp.
