Need help with codes

Pulled up Codes today and came up with this:

Pcm P1693

Ecm P0234

What to do now and what caused it?

I know this has nothing to do with your question, but I was wondering how you guys are pulling up these fault codes. Are you using some sort of lap top computer? Or do they appear on you digital mileage read out?

P1693 is a generic code with little or no meaning



P0243 is not in my 2000 or 2001 service manuel

Just to let you know, I wrote the second one down wrong. It is

P0234... ... . What does it mean when you say a generic code?

The other code states blah blah blah a code has been set in the ecm and pcm...

Clanders, just turn your ignition key on the off 3 times and on the 3rd time leave the key in the on position and in the digital odometer it will give you a code,if one has been set off.

Does this mean that the PS Boost Moduale isn't working?

How do I clear the codes? I have disconnected the battery for the night. Will that work? Thanks for all of your help, Greg

Greg, leaving the batts. disconnected will only clear the check engine light, the codes have to be removed via a scan tool. If the connections are tight, give Practical Solutions a call and see what they think. You shouldn't be setting overboost codes with a boost module.
