Last night I bought an OEM CD player to put in my 93. Sometimes it will play a CD fine, other times it can not read it. I have tried a lens cleaning disc, but it didn't seem to do any good. Should I tear the player apart and clean it, or does anyone else have any ideas?

I had one it would only play store bought CD's, not burnt CD's. If new return it. Or get urself a Sirius Satellite Radio and be done with it:D. Love Howard!

I bought it from a guy with a Neon that blew up. The CDs I'm talking about are store bought. I ain't in my truck enough to justify buying satellite radio.

I wonder if it is the vibration of the motor? Does it do it when the motor is off? Other than that if you have the time to take it apart and give it a cleaning... go for it and if that don't solve it then I agree with Greenleaf ,it's hammer time. ;)
