Just spent $40 on anti-freeze from my local Dodge dealer and now I can't seem to get the darn coolent to drain from the radiator. I think that the drain is located on the driver's side just above the inter-cooler tube at the bottom side of the radiator. It has a little drain that you just turn 90 degrees. Well, I turned it and nothing is coming out. Could it be clogged??? Should I put something up in the drain to see if it clogged or would that damage something???? Or am I just not looking in the right place. I can take a photo and e-mail it... . but I don't know how to shrink the photo small enough to fit on this website.

Thanks,

Sounds like you found the stopcock, but it takes more like a full 1/2 turn as I recall. They're usually really stiff and need some serious persuasion to come open. It's almost been a show-stopper for me too!

You need to turn and pull at the same tome... there is a rubber O-ring on it and it is a little stiff to open... about 1/2 to 3/4 turn gets water flowing... . be carefull, the plug can come all the way out!

TIP:

Keep rad. cap on while draining to empty out overflow bottle... Bottle is a pain to remove... Do the flush thing with the heater hose... I also use air to push out any old stuff or water if you bought pre-mixed...

Pulling and turn was the key!!! I could have put more pressure on it before I found out that you have to pull it... . but my luck it would have broke off, lol.

Thanks guys for the replys... . had to use a light... but still got it done!!!
