I've tried everything to get the fuel tank module locking collar threaded onto my tank but it just won't go. Anyone have any suggesting?!

Thanks,

-john

Mine was a real b___ch also. Once I was sure the threads were where they had to be (start of the thread on the collar in line with the first thread on the tank) I had to press down on the collar a little and it started. Continued by hand and tightened with a strap wrench. Larry

My problem was that I had not fully seated the module and the gasket. The gasket has to go pretty much flush with the threaded portion of the tank. Once it seated correctly, I was able to get the collar on pretty easily.

Oh, and my vent kit works great. Filling the tank to the cap was a breeze. Pump clicked off at 34 gallons and then it took less than a minute to finish filling.

Fuel Tank Vent Kit

John... ... . The silvers are now running AND... ... ... . JR2 and I installed my vent kit today... ... ..... finally.

I hauled that box of parts to Seattle and back and to Az and back but now it is on.

The one fuel line was a NG SOB to disconnect. Oo. #@$%!

We had to release the fuel lines from their holders all the way towards the front of the truck, lower the tank and then unhook the connection. Everything else was per the book and went well. :-laf

Thanks JR2 for the help. What a son he is.
