We are in the process of installing a mag-hytek pan and amsoil synthetic fluid in my grandpas 2002 CTD. We removed the return line as per TDR instructions (by scott dagleish) at the return side of the cooler. We then started the truck in nuetral and let the fluid drain. We only recovered about 5 quarts of fluid when The TDR issue said we should get between 10 and 12 quarts. Are we doing somethin wrong here?

thanks in advance.

P. S. the truck in the signature is a different truck.

I have another question to add to this.

the mag hytek pan came with a aluminum spacer to space down the filter/pickup. the stock pickup/filter has a rubber seal that seals the pickup/filter to the trans. the maghytek does not have any sort of seal between the block and the trans. Should we use the rubber seal from the old filter between the aluminum spacer block and the trans?
