2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission need help with trim rings

I bought a set of 19. 5 trim rings from ricksons they won't stay on has anyone had this problem and how did you fix the problem. I thought about putting three or four dollops of urethane to hold them on with the clips... thanks in advance...

Have you tried bending out the tabs on the trim rings? I did this on a Toyota 4X4. If that doesn't work, I'd give Ricksons a call.
