i just recently installed a set of 100hp injectors on my truck along with my edge juice and i think its time to start lookin for a turbo to clean up some of that black stuff :-laf . but there are so many different turbo's out there i dont have a clue what would best fit my setup. anyone have any suggestions? here's a list of my mods

99 24v 4x4 HTS transmission, suncoast t/c, afe stg 2 , juice w/attitude, 100hp injectors, 4" exhaust, bully dog big fuel kit, also in need of a manifold as mine has like 3 cracks and is making a big mess underneath the hood :{

s300 based 62/12. HTT or II. I have a 62/12 on my 24V with 130HP injectors. Pretty good towing combo. Max EGT I can see at low RPM in 6 gear towing 13K with the box off is 1300F. Spools well

well the question really is, what are you doing with the truck, that helps narrow down your options for turbos, as so many of them are geared toward a certain application. So let us know what your planning and maybe we can start you in certain direction.

well i'll mostly be doing highway driving, will be doin some occasional sled pullin. got some duramax buddies i need to shut up.

I'll have to agree with the rest of the guys -- HTT and II. I'm pretty impressed with the way they both perform. PM me if you're interested in one. I may have something laying around you'd be interested in.

I agree w/ zstroken. The S300 turbos in the 62/12 or 62/14 would be a good turbo for your application. My brother is very happy with his on the 99 in my sig. I don't think we want a bigger turbo, like everyone thinks.

As for the manifold look on ebay. There is a guy selling ATS manifolds for around $399 that might even be shipped not sure.

Good luck.

keep in mind if you go with bigger sticks then you will need a larger turbo,

i run the HTT SPS66/14 with Don's 6's and that turbo is still way to small,

so plan out what you want to do with the truck, a 64/14 will do great with what you are running now, and you may be good up to a 150hp stick but if you plan on going bigger, then go a bit bigger on the turbo

just my $0. 02

You can look at the winners circle on HTT's website to see my brother's dyno sheet with the HTB2 and 130hp sticks. If you are interested that is.

I have 130HP injectors with my 62/12 and I tow 13K with it and only have to watch the egt if I am in 6th and let the rpm get down below 1800 while pulling a grade. It still only goes to about 1300 or so then. This is with the box off though.

went on HTT's website and im thinkin maybe the HTB2 64. I guess i really cant go wrong, beings there all the same turbo and can swap housings if its to big or to small

I run 100 hp sticks, htb2 62/14 and tow a 14'000 5er with a 6sp it's a sweet set up ;) give chris at River City Turbo a call 501-562-7488 ...

so HTT turbos are schwitzer based? I wasnt sure. I am looking to upgrade soon also. I will be getting mine from New Era Diesel.

That 14 exhaust housing is too small. Can you get a 16 for that turbo?

Don't compare the s300 14 to a holset 14. The s300 wastegates are dual ports and will move much more air than the holset 14. There are guys that are running 700 HP with the s300 based charger 14(. 8 a/r) housings.

Ahhhh. You don't say. Grasshopper learn much.

So what Holset exhaust size can I compare the S-300 14 to? My 16 runs like a dream. I just WANT more air for hotrodding. 50 psi out if a single with the exhaust FLOW like a Holset 16 cm2. I was thinking of an ATS Aurora 5000. What do you think?

Thank You, ZStroken
