Hey guys,

I really need some advice or suggestions here. I recently added sportbike injectors (similar to DDII's) to my truck. Since then, my turbo whine has been extremely loud. It was pretty neat at first but has become downright annoying. I tried adding a sheet of 3/4" foam to cover the intake side of K&N filter and have tried a stock OEM filter and it had no effect on the noise. What else can I try or do to quieten this down some. Oh, the silencer ring is still in. I would hate to hear this thing with it out. Thanks.

Ramboy... this just does not sound right. Injectors really should not make more noticable noise.

The noise is more likely coming from something else. Are your intake hose clamps tight? Start at the air cleaner, and work towards the turbo, checking everything again.

Then check the rest of the intake system for boost leaks. If nothing is found there, check for loose exhaust manifold bolts and the exhaust elbow bolts.

I have never heard of, or experienced a great increase of noise due to injector installs. I have had three different sets of injectors in my Ram.

Diito on the above. More fuel should not make your Turbo louder. Something else has got be wrong. In any case, you can insulate the airbox with something like Dynamat or even better, a heat reflective insulation which will cut down on sound and heat transfer. I will be covering all my boost piping this summer when i have the chance with thermal insulation.
