I just did my front brakes, but have not tackles the U-joints. Here is how I did my rotors:

1) removed front wheels

2) removed caliper bolts and hung from coil springs using a piece of wire

3) removed brake pads from caliper

4) remove cotter pin from hub nut

5) remove hub nut & washer(uses a big socket, I forget the size)

6) remove 4 bolts from the back of the rotor assembly (requires 12 point socket)

7) remove rotor assembly off of spline (I had to use a puller to get mine off the spline and be prepared, the rotor assembly is super heavy) Be careful not to pull the axle out when you remove the rotor.

The wheel studs are pressed through the rotor. If replacing the rotor, they will have to be pressed out or use a brass hammer. You asked for the easy way. I took my rotor assembly to a machine shop and had them press out the studs and press them back in my new rotor. I think it costs about $30, but well worth it. The last time I hammered studs out , I compressed the threads on the studs, making it hard to put the lug nuts back on. If you are just having the rotors turned, most can turn the entire assembly.

Hope this helps.

If you are going to buy a manual stay away from the cheapos. Get the real one from Dodge. Too many errors in the after market cheapos.

well i have the haynes manual just been too cheap to buy the factory manual. the haynes manual says the basics on how to pull them but on here people have said that using a puller can mess up the bearings and the whole hub is about 300. 00 and i dont have the money for that right now.

Unbolt the 4 bolts that hold in the hub. Reinstall a couple with a few threads. Get a helper to run your steering (truck is running). Put an extension or other bar stock between the frame and bolt head, and then use the steering to press the hub out. No fear of ruining it due to excessive beating.

ok sounds easy enough. thank you. i still need the part numbers for the ujoints for the front axle the ones that are greaseable.
