How much coolant should I drain?

Not sure the difference between the 47 and 48; but with the 48 the park rod is left on the VB while you manipulate the other end into the sprag, and at the the same time, rotating the driveline slightly eachway until you feel it lock. The issue w/getting it in is that you have to unbolt the driveline from the diff to spin it if you dont raise the truck like I dont (4. 5" lift). I tried to get the rod in the sprag w/o turning the driveshaft and it wasnt happening!
 
All you have to do is jack one rear wheel off the ground to get the trans output shaft to rotate and line up the sprag. ;) If you have long enough legs you can kick the tire over and insert the park rod at the same time. :)



All thes Dodge transmissions are the same, once one figures out how the park rod goes in an out removing the e-clip is totally uneccessary and a pain.
 
Normally that would have worked and been a great idea, but... . i parked my truck half way in the garage where the roof rubs the door seal (I had to air down the tires just to get it in that far)so jacking it up was not an option.

LMAO, sounds like my son having put bare rims on one of his projects to get it out the door after he was done. :-laf
