bpete. . I have the same problem and am working on getting more info from Mcleod clutch and the new LUK-PRO GOLD. As far as I know the Mcleod is a super Heavy-duty and is expensive. The LUK-PRO GOLD is heavy duty and appears to be 1/3 less. It all depends how much "bombing" you will be doing and if pulling loads. I'm awaiting for some sort of torque numbers from both manufactures before I make my decision. . Perhaps some members have used or are using either products?? #ad

Heberram, I would advice not to go with the Luk- Pro gold I have one and with the addition of the 370 HP injectors and a 16 CM2 housing it would slip any thing above 3/4 throttle in 4ht and 5th until I pushed the torque plate back to stock position. I am looking at the Sach clutch set up that Joe D. is running. It is also less than the Mclead.

Heberram,
Yes Joe is running a sach composite. There are two sachs clutchs, one using kevlar and the other a brass carbon composite. The kevlar one will hold 950 FP of torque and the composite 1200+. As far as a shop there is only one I can recomend----

Check the thread that MAK started regarding his new LuK clutch. I called luk and they reated the clutch at 673. 503 ft-lbs. There is a 25% engineering safety factor. That means 841. 87875 would be the absolute that the clutch would hold. I think I am going to look at the sachs.
