Looking for gas furnace..PVC chimney....

Bill Oreilly in hot water?

I need to have my hip fixed. I have lost range of motion and it can hurt like !!!!! as result of osteoarthritus. When I upgraded my truck, I got good advice and many different options to consider. So, I am now looking for any suggestions on fixing my hip problem.

I am aware of Total Hip Replacement and Hip Resurfacing. Has anyone had experience with either one of these? Are there other options?

Thanks for the comments in advance.

Hey Bruce - I sure don't have that problem but I've seen alot who have. Have you been to an orthopedic specialist yet? That's my recommendation for a first step. The second step would be to get a second and maybe third opinion.

On a brighter note - I had a friend years ago who had a hip replacement. He told the ortho surgeon he wanted the hip bone to use as a gear shift knob for his tricked out offroad jeep. The surgeon - a buddy of ours - agreed, so this guy's been driving around for about ten years with what is probably the most unique shifter on the planet.

I used to do rehab for folks that had the hip replacement surgery. If they'd fallen and broken a hip, requiring a replacement, they were in sad shape, whiney, complaining, hard to get moving again. If they had replaced the hip because of arthritis, our problem was slowing them down enough to heal. The pain of the hip replacement surgery was so much less than the arthritis pain they had been living with, they wanted to go out and dance on day two after surgery.

I don't know how bad your hip is and I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. I just watched those replacement successes and waved them good bye as they waltzed out the door...
