Thanks, TDR Staff

I just installed this Whizbang device, and...

Anybody know anybody with an Alaskan Klee Kai Or Sheba inu?

Anyone out there work for honda or know someone who can get parts at a discount? I need a new ECU for a 92' Accord. Atmospheric Pressure Sensor went out and it is built into the ECU. Honda wants $970. 00 for a new one. I did find a place online where I believe they were $720. 00. Still alot of money in my opinion. Anyway, if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Jason

This is an ebay item... . There are a couple of online honda parts houses that are about 1/2 of retail but there should be a bunch on ebay. Another option is to look at some of the rice-burner shops that focus on engine conversions. They are busy buying JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) and converting their american models to faster and better.

Check ebay and see what you can find. Jus tmake sure that the model numbers match the one you have. A fuel injected ECU will not work with a normally aspirated ECU. If you are still having trouble, let me know. I can probably help you find one.

guava... ... ... . thanks. I am wondering if the 1990 hondas were naturally aspirated or fuel injected? Our 92' is fuel injected and I am sure an ecu from a naturally aspirated one wouldn't work to well in ours... ... ... . the descrption does state the years are interchangeable. The fuel delivery was just my curiosity.

Jason

The answer to that is in the three letter code provided in the description... . All years came in both types. FI and carbed. DX was carbed and Si or Lx was typically fuel injected.

If you look at your ECU. In the middle of all the numbers is the three digit code (PT3 on the ebay one). If you find that on the ECU, all you gotta do is find a used one to match... they are the same.

Just a point of clarrification about termonalogy. The way I understand it, the term "normally aspirated" has to do with how air is delivered to the engine, not fuel. A "normally aspirated" engine would not have a turbo or supercharger, but could very well be fuel injected. I could be wrong on this, so please correct me if I am.

right on the money... you can have a normally asperated engine that is carb or fuel injected [being gas or diesel] then you can have both [carb, fuel injected or diesel] either supercharged or turbocharged [and a 2 cycle diesel with a blower on it is naturally asperated ]

ok... we've picked my terminology apart. Honda's make two types of ECU's. One goes with a fuel injected motor. The other goes with a carb.

Pick one.

The ECU is typically placed on the right front floor board under the dash. Lift the carpet up and take it out with a 12mm socket. That simple.
