need ideas for gap filler

I recently picked up a 1995 F-Super Duty Cab and Chassis. I also picked up a super clean pick up bed for it. The problem that I have is that when I center the wheels in the wheel opening I have a gap between the cab and box of about 5 inches. I need some ideas of how to fill that gap so it doesn't look so awkward. I was thinking maybe some type of headache rack or making a filler piece?? Any thoughts or pictures would be appreciated.

get a bed that's junk on the back side and use it to make a Panel and extend the bed out

You could custom fab a aux fuel tank for that area.

Will the dually pickup bed fit the cab chassis axle width ok? Like you said, maybe a head ache rack and 5" stacks.
