Does anyone know what its called when D/C notifies a "dealer" about a "technical" situation. I do believe its different from a TSB. Sag2 or Tomeygun, where are you???? TIA, Mark

The only offical notification is a TSB, Recall or an RRT. That is to say information from DC to the dealer. If the dealer inquires about something specific, he might get other information (pre TSB, STAR information, engineering studies etc. ) that has not been officially released.

Mmeier, I believe it's called a "Rapid Response Recall". I had the dealer call me and instruct me to bring my truck in when Cummins suspected they had installed undersized freeze plugs. As far as I know there wasn't a TSB on that.

... how does your "dealership" handle problems related to the Jacob's E- Brake when they are in your shop? Have your guys been told by D/C to " disconnect" the brake and basically tell the customer that's your "fix" for them ? That is the reply I recieved from one of my local dealers here.
