I need insurance on a 3500 DRW. I'm running into a number of insurance carriers (AmEx, Geico) who will not insure 1-tons, or duallys specifically.

It's not me. I have a great record and have never made a claim.

Where do you guys go to insure a DRW?

I would check with State farm as Truckstom noted or Farm Bureau if you have one local, these companies like geico and some of the others there rates may be great but i really don't think there coverage is what the above 2 i mentioned are.

You should have one of the above in the state you live in, and i don't think you have to be classified as a farmer to get it either, i may be wrong on that but i think the average joe can get insurance through those 2 companies. .

Good Luck

I am currently covered by Liberty Mutal and very happy with ther service, but NOT with the rates. My renewal just came in at $1947. 00 PER YEAR just for the Ram, another $1500 for the DUrango and $200. for the trailer

Lawdog, Liberty is taking you for a ride. I have a 1 ton and a durango as you do and pay less than 1,000. 00 for both. That is with 300,000 in coverage.

We had been insured with State Farm. I just switched over to a Good Sam (an RVers association) VIP policy underwritten by GMAC on our Acura, Durango, Ram 3500 and 5th wheel and saved approximately $700/year with better coverage (5 year full replacement for the RV).

Contacted my State Farm agent today regarding the insurance transfer of my 99 3500 to the 05' 3500 when it arrives, got a quote and no problem.

Good luck.

My last truck was a duelly, and my new Dodge 3500 4x4 is a swd but the rate was the same. . $300/500 zero deduct full coverage Allstate. $350 every 6 months.

I use progressive for the truck and trailer. Good insurance.

I'm with Diesel Nut with Progressive! I have them on both, truck and trailer plus the wife's car! Very good to work with, very fair! :D

I have Travelers/First Trenton on my 96, been with them 2 years... prior to that, I had Hanover for for over 10. Never an issue with either company about the training wheels.

My wife checked with Nationwide today. $1500. 00 every 6 months for my Ram, her 2002 Durango and our 2004 Featherlite 40' race trailer. Liberty Mutual, just over $3600. 00 a year...

BUT

Liberty Mutual is 391. 00 per year for all 3 snowmobiles with full coverage, NATIONWIDE WANTED... . $1800. 00 FOR THE 3 SLEDS
