2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need last 8 of a 2000 VIN

Hello,

I need to order transfer case parts for an NV241DHD that was taken out of a 2000 2500/3500 truck. According to the dealer, they need the last 8 digits of a 2000 2500/3500 to put in the computer in order to search for the right parts. Unfortunately, I don't have a 2000 and was hoping someone with a 2000 could "loan" me the last 8-digits of their VIN.

Its off my 2000 3/4 ton 4X4, long bed, Cummins, 6 speed.



Hope that does it for you... That seems a little wierd to me that they would need that though.



I ordered it with the Heavy Duty Transfer Case.

I work for a shop and have to order parts all the time. Both MOPAR and GM want a VIN when looking up parts. It is basically a shortcut in their computer and eliminates guessing... ...
