Can anyone in Tucson area point me to a source for a new lift pump and other warranty work - 5 Star or the other guy?

Thanks

Don't know what all warranty work you need done, but as far as the lift pump many folks just go to Cummins and pay the $140 or so bucks and do it themselves. The advantages are 1) you know the work is done right 2) you get none of the 5 Star hassle ("your psi falls in spec", " it is not covered by the warranty", "Your truck has an aftermarket 'performance item' so we need to void your warranty", etc... )

BOB W - Howdy. Good to see you made the DTT connection.

1tuffram - thanks, but why would I spend time and $ for a warranty covered item? I also have a couple other warranty items to do before I hit the magic century mark - I have not intention of replacing gaskets and the rear freeze plug just for fun.

If you inform cummins of the fact that you are under warrenty they should go ahead and do the warrenty work. This is what i have been told and it makes sense, cummins builds it cummins fixes it.
