Palm OS OBD Source?

What brand and model number for dyno.

If you are looking for collets, spindle attachments(drill chucks, weldon holders, right angle attachments, etc) I have had great luck with MSC. I buy quite a bit of stuff from them. If you need any endmills to get started with I have quite a few laying around. I don't use much high speed any more. Except in larger sizes.

Do you have a www.link to MSC?? And do they have the end mills? and ball-end mills?

I think it is www.mscdirect.com. Ask for their catalog. They have too much stuff to go through online. Catalog is around 3200 pages. They have most any shop supplies you will need. ( yes they have end mills)

MSC acquired J&L back in June

I was surprised when Kennametal picked up J&L a few years back and now they dropped them.

MSC & J&L are very good sources for one stop shopping. There are other "warehouse" type sellers out there that have some cheap pricing at times but you have to keep you eyes open for deals. Also just to let you know there are a few places that sell B'port aftermarket replacement parts just so you do not have to go OEM, I have rebuilt quite a few B'ports using aftermarket with success.

Johnny5- have you ever come across any systems to convert the older b-ports to cnc capabibilities? I'd be VERY interested in checking into this route, if you have that infomation... ... Oo.

Yep sure did, we converted both a B'port & Enco mill using an Anilam retrofit ALTHO this was over 10 years ago at the last job and I'm not sure if that company is still around. Not to mention I have not kept my eyes open on this subject since the present place I'm at buys all new BIG stuff. I would have to bet there are still kits available to do this and they would run the range in pricing. Off hand I can not come up with any references but I will keep my eyes open and since I plan on attending this years IMTS (International Machine Tool Show) I'll also look there.

Out of curiousity I did a search on "Bridgeport CNC Retrofit" and found the links below altho there is a lot more on the net. Keep in mind that stepper motors cost a lot less than servos, hence the big difference in pricing. Hope this helps...

Hey Thanks!! I'll look into these- I have heard of the flashcut program, I almost bought a Smithy CNC mill- I'm glad I returned what was sent- Cause now I have a better machine in the b-port..... Now I hope I can retrofit a cnc setup on it!

Then the chips will really fly!
I preferr the servos over the stepper motors though... .
Thanks again Johnny5:D
