from 45/50 mph on my truck screams but anything before that my old psd would spank it. Right now I have the edge hot j/a, what would stack with that to get me more power in the beginning. money isnt really an issue, just seeing what is out there and what everyone thinks.

there are many things that would help you with the edge, i would like to talk to you in a pm on the many configurations and combos. thanks

Torque Mgt is hurt'n ya. Beef-up whatever ya got and stop the TQ Mgt... ... . you'll not belive what the STOCK setting will give you. :D

what do you mean burner? sorry im kinda new to the ctd, the old psd was a chip and injectors and i was happy, this is like a puzzle finding the right combos.

The problem at low speeds is the stock trans/TC. You can't get power to the ground until it locks up.

Ford locks up from second gear on. Dodge third & fourth.

Gary

Factory TQ management holds the motor down until you get rolling. The Cummins motor has gobbs of TQ down low but it will gut a trans real quick if not controled. Find a SunCoast dealer and get the trans up to speed "FIRST" and then do the rest. A SMARTY (http://madselectronics.com) or something like it will turn off or reduce the amount of TQ Mgt, it will help your bottom end. I must stress that an Auto can be readily trashed without the factory TQ Mgt.

I can tell you about low end :-laf :-laf On our last trip out to Glamis with the trailer hooked up,I rolled the throttle on about 1/4-3/8s and smoked the tires. All for the benefit of some Chebbys loaded up for the dunes waiting to get on the freeway. The Smarty just maybe the ticket you are looking for too.

Bob

Smarty and the TST stack is the ticket for me. I am running SW#3 and the TST on 2x4. The torque comes on right at 1500 - 1600 rpm and puts you back in the seat.

Avi

I have yet to pull our 32' travel trailer yet, but I can see where the rears would break loose pulling the trailer. I had to kinda punch it a bit making a left turn into traffic and smoked the rears- and mine's stock.

After the warranty is up I may put an Edge on it. I had one on my '99 and it did well enough for me...

Not unless he either has a great suspension or wants to replace driveline parts. Power wasn't the problem last time it was all those darn bumps they have on the hill :D Then Sean laid the smack down on the 'prefered line' with his paddles and it was all over.

Matt,

My brother came out last trip in his bone stock 06 6spd,made it up olds one time on Friday night. Loaded Smarty on 90 hp cruised up it the rest of the wk-end any line every time Oo. Oo. The torque makes it easy... ... ... . no high rpm needed. He would go through the whoops in 2nd then hit 3rd when it smoothed out and shoot on up.

On the other hand with Carli's 3" king shocks and smarty look the f### out its up,up and away :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf

When we were there, my problem wasn't the power but the stock suspension. It was way too jumpy and I'd lose momentum.
