Need a little input from you guys. Would like to have a little more power in my 2005 3500. Towing a 15k 5er and would like a little more go without trashing the 48re. Have 4:10 rears.

You dont really have alot of wiggle room on that 48re - maybe 50 or so more HP and thats it...



What ever module you get, I think the EGT backdown feature is a must
 
I like my Smarty but Edge, Quadzilla, and TST along with some other I am sure, have nice stuff.



No matter what you put be sure to get an EGT gauge, While you are at it do a boost and transmission temp. also.



As mentioned you can't do much without hurting your 48re. So have some money set aside to upgrade/fix your transmission. when you upgrade the transmission have it built to hold what ever power level you want to go up to.

Another vote for Quadzilla, I have the adjustable box to 100hp works great on 60hp towing my 5th wheel, made a huge improvement towing, which is more or less the same as the XZT. Even with the box, intake and exhaust the truck is pretty gutless below 2000rpms, thankfully I have the 4. 10s so I can run 66mph or above to keep it in the power.
