Need More Power !!!

This is my first post. This is a great bunch of folks. It is time to bomb. On the weekends, I pull a 4k horse trailer. In the summertime,12k of hay. Which box should I go with? The EZ, DD's True Torque, JVD Torque Enhancer, TST Powermax, or Banks Kit,or ... . And is there a way to slow the idle down and still pull the trailer to load hay? Because I get tired after awhile #ad

Alan, I'd offer to lend you the demo EZ that is on loan to me from Brett at Power Edge for some of the guys in my area to try, but there is some distance between us. You mite try to get ahold of TXRAM and see if he still has the demo boxes from the last LSTDR meeting.

Maybe not in the "Beginning" but yes you'll slip your clutch shortly after installing both Injectors and a box.

Do a search on old posts, your mixxing in "minor" fuling boxes with major fueling boxs. I'll try to find my old post and link ya too it, bare with me... ...

I think what im after is a box with timing,fueling,& boost mod to get more "pickup & go" with better mpg and still keep the stock clutch for a while (it only has 4k miles on it) thanks alan

alanw, the EZ is a great box, and adjustable. It has three settings, that are adjusted internally. Very easy to install. Plus it comes with a boost elbow.
It puts the power where you need it for any kind of towing.
Careful, this BOMBing can be addictive, once you start.

Alan, you would be ok with an EZ and 275 injectors. The two of them really compliment each other. Talking to a Luk engineer about the torque rating of our trucks, he said that the ETC clutch is rated at 623ftlbs. When I dynoed my trunk with just the EZ/275s combo it came out to 271hp/540ftlbs. Even with the PE and HX40 the only time the clutch slips is at full throttle under 2000rpm.

Alan, I have the power max 3 ajustable I love the extra power. My total wieght is 16,400lbs truck & trailer just wieghed last week at truck stop. I have no problems passing or pulling. Very easy to install, after I installed the box it was like night and day. It felt like I had a bigger diesel put in the truck. That was before my injectors.
