I have an 04 2500 4wd qc longbed and this morning the tailpipe broke off the muffler. I'm kind of surprised. 81k on truck and I expected the stock exhaust to go much longer. At least on my gas vehicles I've gone past the 150k mark with no issues.
Anyway, trying to figure out what to replace it with. Don't think I can just go to the local muffler shop for repairs for something with pipes this big ?
Stock exhaust is fine with me although aftermarket may give me a little more power. I do a bit of towing of a 10k trailer.
What options should I look for in an aftermarket ? I don't need anything crazy. Everything on the truck is stock and I have no plans to do any power mods to the truck like chips or turbos or injectors, etc.
I also want to find out if it's covered under my 100k warranty and if not and I put on a banks exhaust, will that void the rest of my warranty. I have 1 yr and 20 k left on the warranty.
Thanks,
Nick
