Search Crutchfields website or simply call them with your info and questions. Their database as to what fits any specific truck with any specific oem stereo system is very easy to use and more importantly very precise. They also have excellent customer service, a 60 day no questions asked return policy as well as excellent tech support for installation questions.

Been looking for my 04, yea it's time. Getting spoiled with the frills like BT and such but I still want CD though.
Crutchfields has a great system for matching what fits, and shows integration devices but the only issue I see (besides spending $) is utilizing the amp (I'm RAZ with the still awesome infinity system) and the steering wheel controls. If anyone knows of a system that retains both, please refer it!

They should gave an adapter for the steering wheel controls. Might even have something to retain the amp. If you can't find it online give them a call.

Open the link I provided and if you look at the assecories, you'll find that steering wheel controls and amp still work. But you'll loose front to rear separation of the radio. I haven't noticed any difference in sound, except the front to rear operation, you'll still hear from all speakers.

Go to a real shop. I have steering wheel controls, fade front to back, side to side, everything works as it should. Don't cheap out on it. I think alpine is on the better end of radios.

Problem is finding a "real" shop that does QUALITY work. There are way too many hack shops that purport to be good but do only shoddy work that will only cause problems down the road.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with working with Crutchfield to tell them know what you want and need and then let them make suggestions as to what will get the job done. The install itself is not that hard for those with a bit of electromechanical skills, particularly with access to Crutchfields patient and excellent tech support.

I use a Doubledin Moniceiver from Pioneer (incl. Backup Cam) together with electronic Integration from Metra, so everything works like a charm.
Cost some money but it compares to my high standards.

The install itself is not that hard for those with a bit of electromechanical skills, particularly with access to Crutchfields patient and excellent tech support.

I can vouch for Crutchfields tech support, they are second to none. However finding a shop that meets my install quality are extremely hard to find. If you want to purchase from Crutchfields, then have a local automotive electronics shop install it, you'd find it expensive. If I were to have a shop install mine, I'd use Crutchfield to find what I wanted installed then purchase from the installer. I spent well over two days prepping my truck, then installing my Clarian NX605 and steering wheel controls with tech support on the phone several times along the way. It turned out real nice, I was even able to use the OEM Nav antenna connection in the back of the radio that the techs said wouldn't work. They said that 99 times out of a hundred they wont adapt to the new radio, and I got lucky.

The Metra adapter I see is to integrate the wheel controls but bypasses the Infiniti amp. I was looking to hold onto both. I only want to change the head unit.

I used Crutchfield's and a local,highly skilled and polite mobile installer did the install.
I got an Alpine CD w/Bluetooth. Excellent unit but my only gripe is the teeny buttons.
I wish I'd gone with a 1.5/2 Din . At the same time he installed some Polk Audio marine speakers. Huge improvement overall.
The BT feature,USB port and headphone jack are nice.

I like Kenwood so I have a Kenwood receiver in the dash. Plays CD's and has one USB and one headphone type jack on the face plate. What I particularly like is they give you a remote control for the unit. I hate trying to change volume or a setting with the truck bouncing around! The remote takes care of those random button hits that take you an hour to figure out what the heck you just did! Anyhow, it is a 52W total power unit and has preamp outputs so I put an amp under the passenger seat and a 10" sub under the passenger side back seat. I used a closed box for the sub so I get that nice tight bass. None of that annoying thumper stuff......... Makes Rush sound awesome! Oh! and Kenwood 6x9 three ways in the front doors with 6-1/2" Kenwood Two ways in the back doors. Need to put some of that sound matting in the cab. That stuff gets expensive in a hurry!
