need O/D bypass info

Alrighty gentlemen... I 'm getting ready to put in and O/D bypass switch to manually shift into or out of O/D. As I've read, there is 5 volts that keep the O/D from engaging. My question is thus:



Do you open this line while grounding the end that goes into the O/D solenoid or are you grounding the other wire. Thanks.
 
If you want to manually control the O/D (bypassing the PCM controls) all you need to do is ground the the ground side of the solenoid. One side gets 5V from the PCM and then the PCM grounds the other side to engage O/D. Look here at this post I made a while ago, it explains thing a little better.

Thanks Chris, that was just the info I needed. Seems I'm having the same problems you experienced. I'm sure I'll get-er-done now Oo.
