can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be an oring or gasket on the oil line that goes to the bottom of the vacum pump. I just changed all the seals in the pump with FIXINRAMS rebuild kit which by the way is very nice with great customer service but cant get the stainless oil line to stop leaking. The fitting on the line is pretty tight. When I try to tighten the fitting even more the line keeps trying to move with it and I cant seem to hold it back. It was getting dark and late last night as well as me getting quite frustrated with it so I will look at it a little later when I get home

IIRC there is no o ring. But you do need to hold the fitting from turning while you tighten the line nut - takes a small wrench. You probably loosened the fitting if the line is turning when tight. I'd take off the line, tighten the fitting, then put the line back on while holding the fitting from excessive torque.
