i want to see some pics of the skyjacker 2. 5 and the skyjacker 4. 5-5 lifts. im leaning towards the 2. 5 because i don't want to go too tall due to the fact that i work out of it. i would like to see pics of both though.
What size tires are those and what wheels are you running? If I remember correctly, you did a different spacer in the rear - is this correct? Were you able to use the Kore U-bolts?
here's some pics of mine with the 5" Skyjacker. I appologize for the poor quality (they are from my phone). It is not nearly as tall as I thought it would be, but the tires are not quite 33", so it loses some there. Getting in and out is not bad as long as you have some type of step.
i really like the stance of you truck. you just sold me on the 2. 5 . thank you for replying. i also have the same question as spooled-up on the tire size and if you did do anything extra to the rear?
Ok guys, wheels are Diamo 8 Karat 18x9 and tires are Nitto Terra Grappler 325/60/18. They measure about 33x13 inches. 35 inch tires WILL NOT FIT with this wheel. Because of the offset, the tire WILL hit the back of the front fender at just before full turn. I just BARELY make it with 33's.
The back of the truck has the Kore mini-paks installed. The difference is I removed one of the stock 5/8" spacers, and put in 1 1/2" Pro Comp billet aluminum lift blocks. The Kore u-bolts weren't long enough so I got some u-bolts that were for a 3500 with the overloads. With my normal running weight I have about an 1 1/2" rake.
what not get the kore system? Their recon system is just as much as the skyjacker 4. 5 inch lift. I was going to do the skyjacker route aswell but realized i'd be better off with the kore system. Not to mention the kore system is better than the skyjacker 2. 5 or 4. 5 inch lift. Just a thought but its your choice. www.Koreperformance.com is the website. Just check them out, its worth looking into.
Ohhh... I'll have to check out the classifieds for your kore system spooled up. Why are you selling?
Anyway, here is mine with just a pro-comp leveling kit, with the rear stock height, and 35" Toyo's. I'll eventually get a KORE system, but I like the look of my truck how it sits now. Hopefully these post right.
The airline I work for is cutting my hours by 20% and then they will cut our pay by an estimated 15%. I'm on medical leave also and may need back surgery. The short term disability checks aren't what I'm used to either. When it rains it pours! I'm cashing out so I can pay off what little credit card debt we have so we can weather this storm and find new jobs. It'll be nice to get the truck in the garage again too. Still gotta make the payments on the Cummins!
I'm sick of the airline industry, but I think I can find something in the corporate world that pays a lot better among other things.
