My steering box(96 ram 2500 4wd) is leaking quite a bit while turning(from the sector shaft/pitman arm area). I dont know if it has play in the bearing, but while I have it out to replace the seal I'd like to replace the bearing as well. Dodge wont supply anything but a new gear box. I've heard of people(through searches here) that replaced the bearing, but never gave a pn or told where they bought it.

Could anyone tell me where to get this bearing?

Also, I'm thinking about getting one of the steering box braces from Darin or Mike, does anyone have any long term feedback on that?

Thanks

Andy

I checked with the OEM parts guides. they have all of the seals and gaskets available for the steering gear, but not any other internal parts. I know the bgns are available somewhere but where, I don't know.

Thanks for the reply, guess I was a little unclear in my post, but Dodge will supply the seals(bought those already through NAPA though). They wont supply any of the bearings. I did find someone post something about a Torrington SCH 2020, but haven't found any details about how well that worked, nor do I know anyway to cross reference that or where to buy it.
