Can any of you guys walk me through the steps on installing a BD Super Special turbo on my 03 dodge, what can I do to make the job easier????

03 dodge 4x4 auto,tst/mp8,airdog,mac filter,DTT transmission,II dual feed line,4 in mbrp,ATS manifold

the turbo didn't come with directions?

heres a few: connect the water connection behind the turbo FIRST before you re-install the turbo

also, some people pull the manifold and turbo as 1 piece, rather than just pull the turbo. I think pulling the manifold and turbo in 1 piece is easier, personally

hope this helps

on the regular super B, there are a few issues. i am not sure if these apply to the super B special but here they are:

had to grind a little off the motor mount to clear the waste gate control.

i also had to cut my exhaust front pipe to move it back farther than the mounts would let it move. i took out about 2" and just put a coupler back on.

you need a thin wrench or swivel socket with long extension to get the 2 inside flange mount screws on the manifold.

many recommend removing the right inner fender and air box for better access. i didn't do it and probably should have.

make sure to loosen the intake and exhaust housing clamp screws to "clock" your housings to the correct position.

don't cut the hose going to the intercooler (stupid mistake) just compress it a little.

those are the things i remember most as trouble spots.

good luck,

jim

sorry for the delay in responding.

i was able to rotate the inlet housing high enough to clear everything.

my truck is 2WD, there may be clearance issues with 4WD.

how did youre 90 degree elbow on youre new charger, line up with youre intercooler hose?????

there was a slight offset and the turbo tube seemed to close to the intercooler initially. that is why i tried shortening the connector hose. that was a BAD mistake because i forgot about the ribs in the middle of the hose. the hose would no longer fit over the tubes.

i just ended up compressing the new hose about an inch and left the offset between the turbo and intercooler tube.
