Archived Need quick help

I need to get the cig lighter out asap for wiring tonight . Can't get it out . Does anyone know how they come out of the dash on a 99 ???

Hope it's alright to post this, as it is not a real emergency, but I need to get this done and the dash together, so we can head out to Mike's early in the morning.

Can anyone online tell me how it is done? Thanks a million!!

The book say to use a pair of external snap ring pliers of appropriate size, insert into the cavity and engage the locking tabs,(they are shown in the picture to be in horizontal position) expand and rock from side to side to removed, do remove the fuse or disconnect the batteries before attempting this. bg

Thanks BG. I had to go and play before I recieved your message. Anyway, I played with it for a while before giving up, and grabbed the metal part with a pliers and yanked it out. didn't damage it too bad though. Got the project done and everything worked out. Thanks again. Talk to you again sometime.
