I am about to start hauling 2 expensive recumbent tricycles on the back of my 5th Wheel trailer. Needless to say, I will not be able to see them from the truck while traveling. I bought a no-name wireless backup video system from Costco, but find that the package says it will transmit up to 30'. My trailer is over 30', so I need a minimum transmission distance of 40', 50' would be more reliable.

Any have any product recommendations?

I use cameras in our horse trailers, I gave up on wireless cameras, using two hardwired color cameras. I just found some that were 12volt to start with so I run them off the 12v+ supply from the trailer plug then have a couple RCA type plugs in the bed of the truck and added a couple video wires that run from the cameras and are shrink wrapped to the main trailer plug... works for me, the thing that really stops radio signals like they use for the wireless systems is metal.
think the system I have in the trailer cost $70 for both cameras...

I just use one of those cheap portable LCD DVD players, just feeds into the input port on it... then I can watch DVDs too for those times when you are stuck in a snow storm in Wyoming ;)
works pretty well, I had to make it a little more adaptive since we had two trailers (down to one now) both outfitted and two trucks... The cameras also switch over to IR at night (black and white) and can see in total dark (only has an illumination range of maybe 10')
I guess it just depends on if you are willing/able to do some wiring or if you need the plug and play. I probably spent 3 hours per trailer pulling the wire through all the channels, and another hour wiring each truck. Connections were all soldered and shrink wrapped.
You can also switch out lenses on some of the cameras for fish eye, just depends on your needs.
