I've been looking at the EZ, Quadzilla XZT and the Van Aaken. What are the differences? Why is the ZXT cheaper? I use the truck to pull my horse trailer

(8-9000#) and would really like some more power in the 2000-2500 rpm range. Thanks.

Jonny,

Have run none of those boxes so I cannot comment on them. I have been running the Smarty and its predecessor for 2 years. It gives a HUGE hand to the low/mid ranges of the rpm band and even helps out the upper end because of added timing and fuel. While towing a 20,000GVW camper up Monteagle in TN the Smarty/RV275 injectors keep me from slowing down at all until I need to for a curve and then the speed picks right back up if I so desire.

I doubt you will be disappointed by Smarty.

BTW, is your transmission stock or modded?

Godspeed,
Trent

I cannot say that the box's youve inquired about are here or there as far as performance. I can say that the Smarty is amazing for more than just its power adding ability. From the first start up at idle to #9 this is a GREAT mod. I do believe Bob (www.wagnerandassociates.biz) has a "test drive" program for them.

My transmission is stock and I am aware of the possible issues there. Thats why I was considering the entry level boxes. I had been told that the Van Aaken comes on much harder down low than the EZ but I do not know this as fact. I am good at low RPM just would like a little help around 2000. I don't know but I think the Smarty might be a little bit too much for my trans. Price on the Quadzilla product was around 350. 00. Smarty is what 550-600? I have done business with Bob in the past and was pleased. Thanks.

i would stay with the boxes you mentioned. the low end wont be to agressive for the trans. I had an ez for quite a while and loved how it towed with it. I like the comp even better, I now have a van aaken but injectors as well, but the van aaken seems to be like the ez, works great though
