For a couple of months now I haven't been able to get on my second favorite forum at ls1tech.com. I have no problems visiting any other website or doing anything else online. Anybody have any ideas? I am stumped.
Try setting your internet privacy level down to medium-low and see if it works. If so then add it to your list of trusted sites and raise your security level back up.
If you click start, run, type cmd, type ping www.ls1tech.com and you get "unknown host" in return then your service providers DNS server was unable to find that domain to give your browser the IP address.
are there any other websites you can suddenly not connect to?
were you using a saved address to get to the website?
Did the address have https:// instead of http:// at the beginning of the string?
Sorry if some of these questions sound condescending but sometimes it is the simplest of things.
I am having this trouble again. what is odd about it is that during the week while I am away at school I have no problem accessing ls1tech. but when i am at my parents house on the weekend I can't. They have even changed ISP's and I am still having trouble. ls1tech is the only website i have this trouble with. I am using high speed cable internet through a wireless router at school and the parents have DSL and also use a wireless router. I would really be nice to figure this out. I hate it when I cant figure something out.
I have the same thing happening w/ my bank's site. I can access from my laptop at work or from home through my work's SSL connection, but not at home through "normal" means. I haven't found the IP address yet for my bank's site, but I'm figuring it has something to do with the dns server settings my isp is using.
What can I do to fix it? anything? It seems like it is a problem w/ my ISP, correct?
