i am getting the stumbling back after a new cp3 pump i have 72,900 miles on the truck now and it is doing it not as much but it is back!
as the info say below new injection pump at 70,000
a new Fca at the same time
a new pressure over flow valve the same time.
they did the injector flow return test and it was good the paper work sayid 1200ml and from what info the i find on this site any thing less than 1600ml is ok.

the truck start's very good most of the time it will start on the second or third roll and some time's it will start on the first roll. run's very good most of the time. the guy that worked on my truck at the diesel shop say'edthat there was air in the high pressure side and causing the stubling. and that was causing it to throw the code of P0148. but now i am not getting that code. but it is doing this again

so any body got any idea's to ware to look or check out by doing a hopefully a simple test ?:D

Have you had it on a scanner and compared the demanded rail pressure to actual when it stumbles?

Can you replicate the stumbling syptoms at will or are they totally random? Any pattern to the stumbling?

P0148 is a pain to find the actual cause. You have checked the wiri8ng harness for the AC wire being scuffed, check all your grounds, load tested the batteries, and scraped all the battery connections and cable connections?

would older battery's be a source for what is going on with my truck?
the battery's are the o. e. battery's when the truck was sold new!

The CR system needs 2 good fully charged and viable batteries to fire the injectors correctly. Even though the batteries may start the truck and take a charge the voltage could be weak enough to introduce problems.

Just one of the maintenance items with all the electronics. Don't forget to check the AC wire harness for scuffing as that can be a source of MANY issues.

Agree, I was just reading about a guy with a rough idle and new batteries fixed the issue.

i checked the wires by the a/c compresser that are ok the is no chafing at all yet!

i will be getting 2 new battery's next week from the dodge dealer, if they last as long as the first two did !
