Hello,
I have a 06 Quad cab long box with a auto. Last Sunday I started the truck to move it to wash it and the check engine light came on. I dont drive the truck that often as I have a company service truck I drive to work. The code I got was P0243 wastegate open or short. I did a search here and found some sugestions on what to look for but did not have time to look at because I had to travel to a John Deere training center for a week of school. I got home this evening and looked for any obvious problems in the wire harness but didnt find anything. I started the truck and the MIL is still on. I tried to check the code again but nothing happened on the display. So I cycled the key again and waited and this time I had the MIL flash 10 long and 1 short flash????????????? I have never seen this before or heard anyone talk about it. Like a lot of peaple we are leaving tomorrow after work with the 5th wheel behind the truck. Any idea's? The truck also has a Jacobs exhaust brake on it and about 42,000 miles.
