Need some help with Abbott-ERA install.

I installed my Abbott ERA yesterday. I spliced into the white wire with the orange tracer going to the PCM (middle plug, top row, center position on the plug) with the wire coming into the PCM going to the Abbott white wire (in from speed sensor) and the wire going back into the PCM to the blue Abbott wire (out to computer). I set the ratio with the DIP switches to the 1. 1 ratio (35" tires 667 revs/mile) Speedometer doesn't budge. Power, ground are fine. Wire nutted the splice wires together under dash temporarily and speedo works fine again. I plan on calling tech support next week, but wanted to know if anyone had some ideas for me. Thanks

If you spliced into the CAB-PCM lead, it won't work. Well it won't work without modification. The Abbott box is intended to correct the sensor-CAB signal.



If you're really stuck, ship me the box. I'll add the pull-up resistor. And since you're the only one trying this, it'll only cost you shipping.

Thanks Neal, got 'er fixed. Posted the how to in another thread in this forum. I won't have to take you up on your kind offer as I only have rear wheel anti-lock brakes.
