need some help with glow shift guages

Hello,
I need some help with the wiring on glow shift guages.
I wired the guages in from a chart I found on glow shift site.
I wired in a boost - trans tmp- pyro guage.
The wires are purple, Orange, yellow, black, red, brown.
I wired both black wires to ground and purple orange to 12 volt ign switch.
wired both yellows to consant 12v.
The lights on the guages are working.
Bboost guage is working.
When I rev the engine the pyro meter just nails it to the top then stays there around 30 seconds drop to zero and then shoots straight to the top again (top as in highest number on the meter).
The trans temp does not have a probe hooked up so I'll worry about that when I get a probe installed ( need to order one).
So anyone here that can see a problem with this wiring?

MUCH more likely it is a problem with the thermocouple or pyrometer, which is NOT uncommon with those gauges, whose unfortunate nickname is Gloshlt.

That beign said, I understand that Glowshift CS can sometimes help sort these problems out.
